Windows 10: Unable to add shortcut to launch GamePass game from steam.

Hi.When trying to add a xbox gamepass game to launch it from Steam, it just gives me acces denied. Tried creating a shortcut to it from the desktop, but still gets an error. Something is seriosuly wrong the way Windows/Microsoft handles the permissions for Xbox games.And yes, I know there is a tool called UWPHook, but 1; it shouldnt be necessary. 2. It launches the Skyrim launcher instead of the direct game, causing issue when trying to use Steamlink / Moonlight.

Unable to launch many gaming related apps/MS store/gamepass games

• I am unable to launch game bar on my PC (appears to open but closes instantly) - it WAS working fine a few days ago.
• I am unable to launch microsoft store on my PC (appears to open but closes instantly) - it WAS working fine a few days ago.
• I cannot open xbox console companion on windows (appears to open but closes instantly)
• Many gamepass games won't launch, some say im not logged in (but i obviously am logged into my gamepass account)
  
  I have tried a number of solutions I found on the internet from simple reinstall to running various command prompt and powershell commands, I have ensured I have folder and file permissions for the microsoft apps folder on this account.
  
  Because I cannot launch the microsoft store I can't attempt to reinstall some items.

• Do you get any error message/code when you try to launch the game?

Steam games not launching on Windows 10


Hi all,

I'm having a problem when I try to launch Steam games, as whatever game I try to launch doesn't actually launch. A message comes up about the game "preparing to launch" but then nothing after that happens. Some games give me an error saying Steam is not running at all, whereas others just do nothing.

I've already completed all the troubleshooting steps on Steam's website but none of them have actually fixed it. The only temporary fix that works is restarting Steam, but this becomes very annoying when I have to do it multiple times a day every time I want to play a game.

Any help on this problem is greatly appreciated - thanks
