    Trying to reset WMI Repository

    I'm following some troubleshooting advice to reset my WMI Repository on my Windows 10. I've successfully carried out the following commands:- Stopped winmgmt service- Deleted C:\Windows\System32\wbem\repository- Navigated to wbem folder in the command promt and successfully ran the script ‘for /f %s in 'dir /b *.mof' do mofcomp %s’I am now trying to run the follow-up script for /f %s in 'dir /b en-us\*.mfl' do mofcomp en-us\%s but my computer responded with "File Not Found". Where can I find this file, or am I able to leave out this part of the script and still have a functioning WMI?Thank

    :)

  2. WMI Invalid class but "WMI repository is consistent"

    . If the repository is not corrupt, then this 2019 article from MS might help: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/...ss/ba-p/375485

    WMI Invalid class but "WMI repository is consistent"

    On my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit PC, when I go to WMI Control in Computer Management under "Services and Applications" and select "More Actions" -> Properties, it displays the following:- Failed to initialize all required WMI classes. Win32_Processor: WMI: Invalid class Win32_WMISetting: WMI: Invalid class Security information: Successful Win32_OperatingSystem: WMI Invalid class However, when I run command "winmgmt /verifyrepository" in an elevated command prompt (as advised in many web-pages) it reports: "WMI repository is consistent" which, I'm led to believe means the WMI Repository is NOT corrupt. How do I fix the Invalid class error?

  4. Trying to reset WMI Repository

    Action center will freeze afterclicking on the received notification in Windows 10.

    hi i had the same issue and looked online and found this which worked for me:

    I suggest you take the following steps to reset WMI Repository. If the issue can be resolved by following suggestion, the issue should be caused by a corrupted WMI component.

    Restore the WMI Repository

    ====================

    1. Click "Start", type: services in the search box and press Enter.

    2. Right click on “Windows Management Instrumention”, choose Stop. Do not close this Service window.

    3. Locate Repository folder in C:\windows\system32\wbem, rename Repository to Repositoryold. Repository (make sure service is still stopped because the service will restart automatically otherwise you will not be able to rename the folder)

    4. Restart the “Windows Management Instrumention” service.

    5. Restart the computer to test this issue.
