    Transfer windows 10 professional edition to windows 11 professional edition


    Evening helpdesk,I am struggling to transfer my windows 10 pro retail license key from my desktop to my new laptop that has been reformatted to windows 11 pro. I have linked my digitally signed license from the win 10 pro desktop to my outlook account and I cannot activate my windows 11 pro laptop by signing into my outlook account. Please assist. thank you. Attached is the screen shot to verify if my win 10 pro key is retail key.RegardsNigel

    Will the free Windows 10 upgrade install a professional edition

    I currently have Windows 7 professional.

    Will the free Windows 10 upgrade install a professional edition or will it be downgraded to a free Home edition ?

    Is there a list of deprecated or removed features ?

    Will the free Windows 10 upgrade install a professional edition

    If you have the Windows 7 Professional you will get the Windows 10 Pro version. If you had the Windows 7 Home Premium you would get the Windows 10 Home version.

    What do you mean by Is there a list of deprecated or removed features?

    Your Windows 7 professional will be upgraded to Windows 10 Professional.
    Whatever the Edition of Windows you have on your system, it will upgrade to Windows 10 with the same Edition.
