Windows 10: TOUCHPAD IS LAGGING SO BAD

my touchpad is delayed SOO BAD i neeed help URGENTLY please respond FASTanyways, i am on a lenovo thinkpad laptop and my touchpad is delaying, specifically when i'm running applications and hold my touchpad for a long time, i also have the best drivers. what to do? it also moves very slow when u move it while holding down, which sucks because i like shooter games and they have automatic guns...

Bad mouse/touchpad lag

Hi,

I have this problem since my computer decided to update everything by itself.

I have an Acer R3 131T, Not the best, but still wasn't laggy when I bought it a MONTH ago. Everything seems to work fine, no internet or game lag, only the pointer do lag and a little bit with my Keyboard.

Since the update two days ago, I have bad pointer lag, it's not the touchpad or external mouse, both lag the same way.

The pointer keeps freezing. Example: On each 5cm of movement I make, every 2,5cm the pointer stops then go fast to reach the 5cm point, then lag again.

I've update the touchpad driver, some people said it was Realtek Audio, did not work, I've restarted my computer at least 30 times trying any solutions, still not working. I've even manage to uninstall the last update windows made, stopped the automatic
update and even after that, still lagging.

I've tried updating everything and re install all the driver i had since I have my computer.

I've uninstalled McAfee and put my Kaspersky Liscence. Ran a Scan, Nothing.

I've download few things like Office 365, Hearthstone, Spotify, only trusted apps, no torrent or such things.

P.s. - New stuff i've noticed, Cortana. It's the only last thing i see that could be the problem..

My PC is always half of Ram usage even if no application is open, CPU spiking even while nothing is open on my computer.

I've spent the night trying to find a way and understand what happened to my computer. Next step will be sending back the damned thing..

I'm pretty desperate.. anyone had this problem?

 

TouchPad lagging and not moving

Method 1: I suggest you to try installing drivers in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if
that helps.

• Download the touchpad pad drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘Properties’.
• Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the
  issue persists.

Method 2: I suggest you to perform DISM scan and check if the issue is resolved. I suggest you to try the following steps:

• Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
• In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

• • DISM.exe/Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
  • DISM.exe/Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

• Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

Touchpad mouse pointer lag

I understand your concern that you are unable to access touchpad after being upgrading to Windows 10. We will help you to resolve this issue.

This issue might have occurred due to touchpad settings/ corrupted drivers.

I suggest you to connect external mouse to your device as touchpad is not working and check if it is working. If so follow the below steps.

Method 1: Run Hardware troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

  Write Troubleshooting
  in the search box and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting
  tab.
  
• 
  Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
  
• 
  Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
  
• 
  Click Next to run the
  Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: If the issue still persist, please follow the below steps and check.

  Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard and click on
  Control Panel.

  Click on Mouse.

  On the Device Settings tab of the
  Mouse Properties screen, click the Disable button to turn off the Touchpad.
