    Touch Screen Calibration settings file/registry

Windows 10 has a function to calibrate the touch function on the display.I have to install multiple touchscreen displays on multiple computers and i want to use the same calibration for all, programmatically. My questions are:1. In which file does Windows 10 store touch calibration data?2. Is it possible to copy / paste touch calibration data from a test Windows 10 system to a "new" Windows 10 system?3. If I can't export/import the registry, what tool should I use with what parameters in order to correctly calibrate the touchscreen, via console app?Mention:I looked on the forum for similar ques

  2. Touch screen calibration

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Ideally the touch screen calibration doesn’t change when there is any update performed on the PC. However, there could be possibilities that the settings might change, if the touch screen drivers are updated during the upgrade/update.
Also, the registry location for the touch calibration is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH\CalibrationData.

Usually, the touch calibration might not change after replacing the registry key from an older version to a newer version of Windows. However, if the version of drivers are different for the touch screen there might be possibilities
that the calibration needs to be done again.

We can export or take the back up of key and then import it to the new windows 10 version, to replace the registry from old version to a new version of Windows, you may need to take a backup of the registry key. Refer the article

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
    .

    Note:
Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection,
back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

    Hope it helps.

Calibration Touch Screen in win 10

    Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated.

I would suggest you to try these Methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to try the steps under the section “Calibrate your display” to perform color calibration in
Windows 10. Check if it helps.

"Get the best display on your monitor"

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows-8/get-best-display-monitor

    Method 2:

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to install latest touch screen drivers from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps. If Windows 10 drivers are not available in the computer manufacturer website, you may install the latest touch screen
    drivers in compatibility mode.

To install the Touch Screen Drivers in Compatibility Mode, I would suggest you to follow these steps.
