Windows 10: Touch pad not working 12c hid driver error

For the last week I’ve been unable to use the touchpad on my laptop, going into Device Manager the lower 12C HID Device has a warning symbol on it.Device status states “This device cannot start Code 10” followed by “A request for the HID descriptor failed”. After attempting to update the he driver and then disabling/enabling it failed I decided to Uninstall and then Reinstall the device, before few weeks, this method works but not it does not work anymoreThe touchpad had issues like this before but never this long or serious, and it’s with the same Code 10 issue. Acer touch pad IO2 HID driver error

Laptop model: Acer Aspire E5-574G

Windows 10 Home version 1709 build 16299.251

Issue: laptop touch pad not functioning

What I have done: In BIOS, changed touch pad setting to basic. This activated my touch pad, but only basic functionality (obviously). I have uninstalled and reinstalled the appropriate Intel Serial IO driver, and I have uninstalled and updated the appropriate
touch pad drivers. I have reformated and updated windows. Reset the BIOS (CMOS battery)

The error: in device manager, caution sign on the IO2 HID Device driver. Problem: 0xA Problem Status: 0xC000009E event message. Code 10 error.

Ideas?

 

Touch screen unresponsive - 12C HID driver error- Code 10

Hello,

I believe my touch screen has been rendered unresponsive due to an error in the 12C HID drivers. I have gone through all the traditional trouble shooting processes such has uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, searching for driver updates, and setting
BIOS to default. The actual trouble shooting search engine retrieves no results or solutions. Could someone please provide any support for this solution?

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 910 13 ikb glass with windows 10.
