Windows 10: This started today August 9, 2023

This started today: Typed the server password on any pc on the intranet, it did not work. RDP from Internet, and it worked. Copy then pasted, it worked. This problem even exists for our encrypted Excel file. Had to change the password. Windows Server 2019 with Windows 10 Pro workstations. Also, performed the last issued update and now at the bottom right of server screen states "Activate Windows".

Windows 10 recent update 9 August

Hi Neda,

There are several reasons why black screen happens. For us to isolate the issue, we would like to know the following:

• Did you perform any changes prior to the issue?
• Can you send us a screenshot/picture of the screen?
• Can you perform a right click on the Start Menu?

If you can, we suggest following the steps below to access safe mode:

• Right click on the Start Menu.
• Choose Run.
• On the Run box, type in msconfig then click Ok.
• System Configuration window will appear, choose Boot tab.
• Click Safe boot, then, click Network.
• Choose Apply and then Ok.
  
  
  
• The computer will ask you to restart. After restarting it will automatically boot to Safe Mode.

Once it successfully entered Safe Mode, you can now perform a system restore.
