Windows 10: Thinkpad not booting short after w11 upgrade. Booting and/or repairing from flash drive...

Hi all!The situation is the following one: after receiving the news of Windows not updating W10 anymore I went for the W11 upgrade. The laptop Lenovo Thinkpad X380 Yoga worked quite nicely for about a week, actually becoming even slightly quicker, and then one day it just remained stuck in a boot loop.First, I tried to modify some BIOS options e.g. changing between Legacy and UEFI, etc. but nothing worked. Then I created a W11 installation flash drive, I tried to boot the system from there but the automatic "start-up repair" did not work either, I searched for any helpful commands to work

Win 10 booting from DVD or Flash drive

I have upgraded a Lenovo G40-70 from 8 to 8.1 to 10. All is well except I am unable to set either a DVD or Flash drive as the first boot option. I have tried every suggestion on the internet, upgraded my BIOS and nothing works. It always boots from the boot
manager.

The bios says the flash drive is activated, but it still will not boot from the flash drive.

I suggest you to run System Maintenance Troubleshooter.
Follow these steps to run System Maintenance troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click System Maintenance.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

I suggest you to place the computer in Clean boot
and check.

Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot:

With regards to USB flash drive as its not working with different computers as well, you may need to get in touch with the USB flash drive manufacturer.

boot repairs?

i updated the bios on my rampage formula. And now for some reason my system automatically boots to Windows XP and i dont have the usual choices of OSes. I have been triple-booting XP, Vista, and Windows 7 for a while now, and i always got the boot screen where i could choose which one.

I tried putting the discs in and repairing the boot sector or whatever its called for both Vista and Windows 7 and it didnt work. It was kinda automated in that i would choose the repair option and it would automatically pop up that the boot record was missing or corrupt and asked me if i wanted to repair that. It did this for Windows 7 and Vista. Both the partitions are recognized as Windows partitions when using the repair feature. But it still just boots into XP. I can figure it out. I guess i could wipe it and reinstall all 3.
