Windows 10: There is an issue with trying to install Windows 10 or 11 on a Linux device

There are issues with installing windows on Linux devices. I experienced this issues when I tried to install Windows 10 on a Linux device, it showed that there are no storage drivers and when I tried to install a storage driver it didn't let me use it. The only way I managed to solve this problem was by downloading Windows on another computer.There are many other people who have experienced this problem too.My specs are 13th gen intel i5, RTX 3060 and 8 GB of ram

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

Windows 10 issues!

I had a similar issue but it only happen on older hardware, Windows would install the stock drivers which would make it nearly impossible to access the internet. Luckily I had newest Intel and Realtek NIC drivers that ran perfectly on Win 10 x64 1607 version, installing those fixed my that problem.

This also can happen on a non-fresh install of WIn 10, when you try to boot from a different computer/motherboard, after a single failed boot, Windows will try to re-detect and re-install all of the drivers, which definitely won't be the most stable or newest.

I tried everything, flushing cache, resetting router, uninstalling the device completely from the list, removing the LAN connection entirely, none of those helped.

 

Issues installing Windows 10 after Linux

I'm trying to install Windows 10 on the same disk as linux in another partition, the issue comes to the setup of Windows 10.

When it shows lists of disks and their partitions, I select the unallocated space partition of disk 0 and it says "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one", I've also trying creating and formating that partition but no luck.

I saw multiple videos on how to fix it and they all suggested using diskpart and cleaning the disk which isn't an option for me since I have linux on the other partition.

I would grately appreciate if anyone can help.
