Windows 10: The zoom function in Photos App stops working after scrolling through photos

I've been having an issue in the Photos app where the zoom function just stops working after scrolling through a few pictures. I can open a photo and it'll work. Then, after scrolling through one or two more photos, it just stops working. I can't zoom in or out using the scroll wheel or the magnifying glass. I've tried repairing and resetting the app. I've restarted my PC a couple times, but it doesn't fix this issue. I'm using version 2023.11100.11002.0.

How to reset the Scroll Wheel to Zoom again instead of viewing next photo

1. Open the Windows Icon (lower left) and scroll through the list of apps
2. Open the PHOTO app
3. Select the “three dot” icon in upper right corner …
4. Select SETTINGS from the pulldown menu
5. Look under Viewing and Editing Section, the Mouse Wheel Subsection
6. Select “Zoom In and Out” instead of “View Next or Previous Item”

 

Windows 10 Photos - Scroll Zoom not working correctly

Hi,

The double click function works but is somewhat useless as it simply zooms in by a preset percentage and does not allow custom zooming.

This is not a suggestion for a new feature; this is me reporting a problem. Scroll-zoom was working just fine in Photos until I reported this issue. Something has clearly been changed or gone wrong and I would like to know how to either revert it back to
the more sensible method it used to employ or to find some sort of work around that achieves the same result.

Hi, should work...does for me. Have you tried uninstalling, reinstalling Photos?

Presumably scrolling works elsewhere.

A couple of other people have reported this issue here- unresolved.
