Windows 10: The Windows Modules Installer must be updated - KB2533552 for Windows Server 2008R2 SP1 not...

Dear everyone,to fix the recently announced Microsoft Vulnerability: CVE-2021-42287 & CVE-2021-42278 on our still existing Windows Server 2008 R2 DCs, we tried to install the required updates but failed with the mentioned error msg about installing a required Windows Module Installer first. But following the link, this is not available anymore with MSFT. Is there any known way to get it or avoid it to install the fixes for the Vulnerabilities? Thanks! BR

Vista Pre-SP1 vs. Vista SP1

I've been Windows Updating for two straight days and I finally saw SP1. If you want to troubleshoot it, follow these steps:

• Show hidden updates
• Manually install any failed updates (google the KB_____ and install from the windows site)
• Make sure everything in Device Manager is good to go

I had to do step two for like 4 or 5 updates to be able to see SP1.

Any other benchmarks you guys want to see? I might try PCMark05 (I think it works on Vista).

They made it part of the WU client then, or it's two different things doing the same. Too bad you can't download it separately.
