Hi Guys,I am getting the following error in my system event logEvent ID 10010 : Source is DistributedComThe server {9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.Due to this error, the Windows is stuck during the loading for the timeout time around 15 seconds after entering the password. Recently, I have updated the OS Windows 10 to Version 22H2 but the issue occurs further. Could anyone help me to fix this error?Best regards,Vladyslav Nikolaichuk

Event 10010 DistributedCOM

I am getting this same error, same GUID on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update following a clean install (not an upgrade). I searched the registry and {9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39} is the APPID for ShellWindows.

 

Windows 10 Event ID 10010 and 10016 Errors With DistributedCOM


Not sure if this helps, just an observation...

Normally when I have to deal with DCOM issues I only change the permissions for the AppID and CLSID
to be able to edit DCOM, which I believe you've already done. In this case the following.

Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\{9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39}
Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39}

I checked my system and I don't have the Launch in the following, I'm guessing 3rd party software added it ???

Default REG_SZ ShellWindows

I just installed Windows 10 1607 anniversary edition clean & I seeing this error in event viewer

The server {9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

As i searched something to do with shell. Is this normal behavior?
