Windows 10: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT\PARAGONBL

Hi there!
I'm in a desperate need of help.
This is the situation (sorry for my bad English as always...).

Yesterday I left my PC running with a download in progress through MiPony.

I told the program MiPony (for the first time) to shut down the PC at the end of the download.

Until then the PC had no problem.

Before going to bed I checked the PC and I saw that it was off

This morning I turned on the PC and I glimpsed a sign that it was starting a scan (the only letter I saw was I:\) but I could not stop it.

The PC is turned on regularly. Only half an hour later I found out that an entire 3TB HDD in 4 partitions had disappeared

I did some search and found this error: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT\PARAGONBLOCKDEVICE\0000.

I tried to reboot but same situation (no scan and normal situation) but NO drive.

I checked the event log (attached) and I see the problem started after 4 different event regarding my network connection (It's a week that I have to reset the modem \ router several times a day)

I did not see any visible warning but I noticed that the download was stopped. I had thought of a problem online, but certainly not a problem on my disk.

but the errrore says:

WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT \ PARAGONBLOCKDEVICE \ 0000. [/ QUOTE]
and I have the Paragon HDD Manager 15 installed and the Paragon KB HERE states:

[ISSUE] WINDOWS EVENT VIEWER LISTS AN ERROR "THE DRIVERS \ DRIVERS \ WUDFRD FAILED TO LOAD THE DEVICE FOR ROOT \ PARAGONBLOCKDEVICE \ 0000"

This warning is completely normal and does not signify any problems or loss in functionality. Unfortunately it's anche unavoidable in the current versions (generation 14 at the time of this writing). [/ QUOTE]

This drive is a Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200RPM SATA3 64MB Cache Internal Hard Drive 3.5in (Part #: ST3000DM001).

Please I don't know what I have now to do.
Please give a hand to an old lady!!
I might change the HDD connector on the mother board or try it on a different PC?
Or see if the HDD is in the BIOS.

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device ACPI\ACPI0008\5&15d725f4&0.

I have a Samsung Ativ Book 8 (NP880Z5E-X01UB)

I did several clean installs and all windows update.

Also Samsung Update drivers have been installed and are all up to date.

If my computer goes to sleep, or I close the lid and open it back up it crashes.

I'm seeing the following in event viewer.

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device ACPI\ACPI0008\5&15d725f4&0.

Can anyone help

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM

Hi,

Thank you for the update.

Uninstall and reinstall USB Controllers from Device manager.

I would suggest you to follow the steps given below and check if this helps.

a) Press Windows key + X, select device manager.

b) Expand USB Controllers.

c) Right click on the USB Drivers and select uninstall.

Now perform a system restart.

a) Now open device manager.

b) Click on
Scan for hardware changes.

c) And follow the installation wizard to install the drivers for the USB hard drive.

I was just looking in the Device Manager for my drive problem and noticed a new entry called "User-mode block device" containing a device named "Block device mounter" which reports that "This device is working properly" and then:

Device ROOT\PARAGONBLOCKDEVICE\0000 was configured.
