Windows 10: The bitlocker recovery does not exist in my computer. How can I find it?

Dear Sir/Madam,I am unable to access my computer due to BitLocker. I tried to get the recovery key from aka.ms/aadrecoverykey with prompt log in but could not find the bitlocker key. It is missing from my computer. I also fix the bios but it still does not work.Please help how to fix it.Thank you.Sboonmak

1. Are you not able login to your computer due to BitLocker Recovery Key?
2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

Please follow the suggestions below and check if you are able to boot to your desktop.

• Places to look for your BitLocker key:
  • On a printout you saved. Look in places you keep important papers.
    
  • Saved on a USB flash drive. Plug the USB flash drive into your locked PC and follow the instructions. If you saved the key as a text file on the flash drive, use a different computer to read the text file.
  • In your Microsoft account. To get your recovery key, go to
    BitLocker Recovery Keys.

• Or ask someone for help:
  • Ask someone with administrator privileges on the same PC to unlock it with their key.
  • If your PC is connected to a domain (usually a work or school computer), ask a system administrator for your recovery key

Is this your personal computer or it belongs to a company/organization?

• If it is the latter, you may contact its IT department to help you solve it, as each unit has its own unique security policy to secure the domain environment, that may cause your current trouble and we cannot provide further technical support for this.
  

• If it is your personal computer, follow the steps below.
  

Generally, you will be prompted to save the Bitlocker recovery key when turning on the Bitlocker encryption, as shown in the following figure.

• If you choose "Save to your Microsoft account", then it will exist in the Microsoft account you logged in when encrypting, visit Microsoft Account | Device to see your device and its BitLocker recovery key.
  
• If you choose the other three, it should be a .txt file with a long name containing alphanumerics, please recall whether and where you have saved it.
  

Visit Where can I find my BitLocker recovery key?(microsoft.com) for more details about the Bitlocker recovery key.
