Windows 10: the application is not responding. the program may respond again if you wait.

Recently i have been getting this error a lot while gaming and it completly freezes my pc.my windows is up to date and i replaced my ssd with a new one and this error keeps happening,and my pc specs are good 16gb ram and intel core i5 8th gen.please if anyone can help i will really appreaciate it.thanks in advance.

Windows 10, day after huge update, awakening lap top, clicked screen and am getting blue spinning circle and Microsoft Windows box: The application is not responding. The program may respond again if you wait. Not responding to Control Alt Delete. What
do I do?

 

Where's the "Wait for the program to respond" option in Windows 10?

I recently upgraded to windows 10, and it's alright, I suppose. Cortana and the start menu don't work but whatever, that's not the topic right now. My computer is a fairly slow one but things manage to run, if I wait for the program to respond. But since
the update, it won't give me the option to wait.



It skips this pop up menu and just crashes it. I'm just asking if ANYONE has seen the option to wait for the program to respond in Windows 10, or if there's a way I can bring this back. I need this option because I use an art program without an autosave
and it tends not to respond often near the end when the file is big, but it always works after I just let it process. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

What application is causing the 'Program Not Responding' on your PC?

To close down that program, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), then on the Processes Tab, find that application, select it and click 'End Task'

Then try opening that application again

If the problem persists, please provide more information on the application that this is happening to . .
