    Terraria app won't start, Microsoft.xna.framework.dll error


    Generally the issue happened after I format my PC and install Win10. I tried many options to fix it, but still none of them seemed to help. After launching Terrariaserver.exe to find out what kind of error I have I got this: "Unhandled Exception: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Xna.Framework.dll' or one of its dependencies. is not a valid Win32 application. Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700C1 at Terraria.Program.LaunchGameString[] args at Terraria.WindowsLaunch.MainString[] args "I tried googling and the methods described there did not work. I d

    xnavisualizer.dll from XNA Framework on Windows 10 won´t register

    Hey people,

    after freshly installing windows 10 on a ssd games (Terraria) that worked after I upgraded don´t work anymore.

    I think the issue is that the xnavisualizer.dll from XNA Framework doesn´t get registered properly.

    I tried installing XNA framework from the installer provided with the games, registering it manually and via a dll-registering program but both methods failed.

    If someone has the solution to my problem please answer.

    Thanks for the answer,

    sadly I couldn´t find an answer on the XBOX forums, though I think this issue might be more related to windows 10 in general, since i couldn´t get the dll registered. Are there other ways to register the dlls or is XNA Framework not supported on windows
    10? Is there a possible workaround?

    Installing XNA Framework 4.0

    I just got Terraria on my PC and can't open the game. I believe it is because it is unsuccessful installing XNA Framework 4.0. Every time I get error: 2605 trying to run installer. I looked up this errors meaning and it states, "Could
    not find server [2] in [3] or [4]." I have no idea what this is referring to or how to go about fixing it.
