Windows 10: Taskbar not reappearing after auto-hide in windows 11

I recently bought a new laptop with pre-installed windows 11, and the auto-hide taskbar option doesn't seem to work like I used to remember in windows 10.Whenever I try to make the taskbar reappear in fullscreen and yes, any application window including settings, file explorer, etc by moving my curser downwards, it never reappears until I close all windows or disable fullscreen.I tried all of the solutions I could find online restarting pc, restarting windows explorer, and everything people said to work in this thread: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/auto-hide-taskbar-

Auto hide taskbar will not reappear if window is active in full screen - Windows 11

For as long as I've had Windows 11, I cannot get the taskbar to work properly with auto hide enabled. It will automatically hide properly.. if I'm viewing my desktop, it will reappear when I hover over the bottom of the screen. If I have other windows active, but they are not full screen auto hide still works as it should. But if I have any window active in full screen, the taskbar will not ever reappear.

The only way to get the taskbar to appear with a full screen window active, is to hit the Windows key on my keyboard.

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?



If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

• Right click on Taskbar.
• Click on Properties
• Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
• Click on OK.
