  1. Task manager reverting manually set priority

I've been having trouble with a game this last week or so, it keeps crashing on me. It seems to be a problem with my processor, as others with AMD processors have apparently been having the same problem. The primary solution for most people for this problem has been to set the priority of the game in task manager from its default of below normal, to very high.

My problem is that every time I change it to very high, and then go back in to the game window, if I instantly alt tab out and check it's priority, it's back to below normal. It does not revert unless I've opened the game back up, but once I do, it's instant. I've tried it with other running processes, and they all seem to stay the way I set them, so why isn't the games process staying then same?

No restart button in task manager

another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

reset process priority on task manager

Why do you think a Process you see in Task Manager is not running at it's default priority?

Give an example of a Process you think is not running at it's default priority, what is the priority you see in Task Manager and what you think the default priority should be for that Process.

How do you think the priority of the Processes get changed from their default state?

If you changed the priority why don't you just change the priority of the Process back to what it was before?

If you change a Process priority in Task Manager, Task Manager isn't going to remember what the priority was before you changed it.

Just change it back to what it was before (undo the change) or restart the system and things will be back to normal.

You can use the instructions in this link to include a screenshot with some examples of the issue:
