Windows 10: Task Manager Closes Immediately After Opening

Dear Microsoft Support Team, I am reaching out to request assistance regarding an issue with my Windows PC. Whenever I attempt to open the Task Manager, it closes automatically within a second.This issue is causing significant inconvenience as I rely on Task Manager for monitoring and troubleshooting system performance. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on resolving this matter as soon as possible.Operating System: Windows 10, Version 22H2Steps already Taken: Restarted PC, ran antivirus scan, ran system file checker created a new user profile account, disable all the third party startup

I do a nightly backup and create a log file that use to stay open when finished so I could check it every morning, but now it closes; here are my settings:

One of the possible causes why you can't open the Task Manager is due to some task which is running in background. Having said
that, we suggest performing the suggestions posted by Singh Sarandeep in this
thread. Quite a few people found his suggestions helpful.

Note that the information in the thread applies to Windows 8.1, but still applicable to Windows 10.

 

Windows 10 - cannot add exec to Startup in Task Manager

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. I am trying to add an exec to the startup list but Win10 will not accept it. The exec runs successfully on my Windows 10 machine if I start it manually.

Steps I've taken: Task Manager, Startup Tab, File>Run New Task. (browse to location, select.) It will start immediately, but does not show up on the list to autostart, nor does it start on reboot.

Any suggestions?
