Windows 10: System Restore has been stuck at initializing for two hours, should I let it keep going?

I don't know the specific specs, all I know is that I had to repair most of the operating system and c drive because apparently closing a game will cause it to hang, the restart will hang, and killing that will kill your afternoon.

Anyways, I'm restoring from four hours before the incident, it's been stuck at initializing for two hours.

Should I just let it keep running? And if not, how do I stop it?

Edit: Laptop model.. Its an Asus Tuf Gaming fx504. I tried to play Black Mesa, that hung, then I tried to restart once I couldn't use task manager, that hung too, then corrupted and had to repair the c drive on bios level along with the operating system, opened it again, closed it, corrupted the c drive again to a lesser extent, reinstalled steam due to screwing that up, computer started acting wonky again, and.. Now I'm here restoring it.

Been an hour, stuck at System Restore is initializing. Please help.

• Did you receive any error message, when the system restore got stuck?
• Did you install any third party security application?

windows 10,system restore in loop to initualize.continous initialization..

• Is it stuck at any point during System Restore?
• How did you initiate the System Restore? Is it from Desktop environment or Recovery Environment?
• Since how long it stuck on the same screen?

Window 10 restore stuck at initializing. What to do?

I am trying to restore Window 10 to a restore point one day ago. The system is stuck at "System restore is initializing..."

I am not computer expert. Since window say I can not interrupt the restore process. What can I do now? It has been over 1 hours.

Can I force shut the computer? Will that cause the computer can not boot anymore?
