Windows 10: system getting issue after updating latest monthly patches in window 24h2

Dear team,we have update window 11 latest monthly patches after that 24h2 version systems taskbar missing, setting option not opening, system flickering , after removal of update system working but setting option not working at all

Hi Team,

We have few devices(Laptops) where user are multiple reboots due to monthly patches. We have excluded those devices for the time being in order to avoid multiple reboots due to SCCM policies. But then, we dig more at the OS level and found the machine is having October patch installed and the latest SSU as well installed. But November and December patches are not getting installed and showing "Restart requires to finish installating".
Performed basic troubleshooting of clearing cache, software distribution folder, stoping and starting Windows update, BITS services.

As per above screenshot, last patch installed in May 2021, but device is already on October patch level (10.0.19041.1288) and then I checked the installed updates.

Here, November patch is installed but not showing any dates.

So I tried to installed May 2021 manually and Aug SSU (KB5005062) but it throwing error that these updates are not applicable.
Then notices, SSU is already updated.
Tired to uninstall November patch and reinstall after reboot but no luck and it shows as below now, november patch added to the list which needs reboot.

Please help on this.

Manually replaced curl.exe before the April 2023 monthly and now the monthly patch won't update

Manually replaced curl.exe on a Windows 2019 standard server before the April 2023 monthly and now the monthly patch won't update; is there a way to fix it?

 

Windows Update patch issue with Windows Server 2008 SP2

I would like to raise a support case regarding Windows Update patch issue with Windows Server 2008 SP2.

Background:



This server has not being patched since 2012 that leaves a big gap and due to constraint to access internet for Microsoft Internet Update, patches are made available from an offline WSUS (import server).

The imported metadata and the copied WSUS Content from Exported consist of

• classification such as Critical, Definition and Security Updates.
• Production Windows Server 2008

To fix the issue mentioned, I have tried out to install the security updates that are before 2019 first and gradually patch it till 2020.

Most of the patches were successfully installed until it failed for :

• KB4474419(2019-06)
• KB4474419(2019-09)
• KB4524135(Cumulative Update for IE9)
• KB4520002(2019-10 Monthly Rollup)

When it failed, several restarted occur to fall back.



Info for the Current Server:

OS Name : Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Standard

OS Version : 6.0.6003 Service Pack 2 Build 6003



Any workaround or quickfix will be appreciated.
