Windows 10: Switch pro controller not detected by my PC.

Hi. Plugging in my switch pro controller into my PC does nothing: The controller simply isn't detected as any sort of USB device. There is no USB connection sound. It does not show up in devices and printers and it does not show up in device manager as any sort of USB device. Plugging my controller into my laptop yields the blue ring light around the home button and the connection sound. Initially it showed up as an unspecified device then windows installed the drivers and it showed up as a pro controller. Unfortunately, my laptop is not a gaming laptop and I would like the controller to work

We appreciate your effort on this. We understand that when you connect the Nintendo Switch Pro controller to the computer, it is not being detected, we will look into this for you.



However, it would be great if you can help us with the details requested below:

• Does the Nintendo Switch Pro controller gets detected in any other computer?
  
• Were you able to use the Nintendo Switch Pro controller earlier on your current computer?
  
• Is any other USB Device detected on your computer?
  
• Do you see any Unknown device or a yellow yield sign on any device in Device Manager?
  
• May I know the troubleshooting steps that you have tried so far?
  

To check for unknown devices, you can press Windows key + X, and select
Device Manager.



If you see any Unknown device or a device with yellow yield, right click on the device and select
Update Driver.



However, we would also suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article

Error: “USB Device not recognized” when you try to access a USB external hard drive. except Method 1 and 2 and check if that helps in resolving the issue.

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Bluetooth: Have To Keep Unpairing

I use my Switch Pro Controller for most of the games I have right now on both PC and Switch. Mostly it's wireless bluetooth to connect, but every time I want to disconnect my controller from the PC to to connect it to my switch I have to unpair it from my
PC list if I want to connect it back to my PC.

I don't know why my PC doesn't automatically detect my controller when I'm syncing to it, but there's an option when right clicking the bluetooth icon that's grayed out that says "Allow A Device To Connect" and I can't use the option for some reason.

 

Pros to PC Gaming?

So many pros!

The pros:

• high dpi mouse sensors
• playing on cherry mx keys
• switching to xbox 360 controller
• switching hdmi on, jumping on couch, playing on big screen tv
• pausing, google something on desktop, continue
• tweak game, mod game, use editor

The cons:

• Sometimes I can't decide if I'm more comfortable playing with KB/Mouse reclined at my desk, or with xbox 360 controller on couch. *Toast :toast:
