suspect items in task manager under start-up tab

I noticed the below in my task manager startup tab and online search on both yields no results, ive done two offline scans with windows defender and no issues found and 5 full scans with Bitdefender and no issues found, i also ran SFC /Scannow and no issues found does anyone have any idea what they could relate to as all ive downloaded is 3 games on steam, palworld, Once Human and The First Descendant all of which came with their own anticheat software which also installed at the same time, Easy Anti Cheat, Easy Anticheat EOS and Battleeye

    :)

  2. Task Manager - Startup tab

Actually, I like your suggestion as a first step.

Unchecking the wrong thing in Autoruns can brick a system.

    Credentials for Task Manager

Task manager in Windows 10 is not the same thing as Task manager for Windows 7 & earlier.

    • You can, for example, alter Startup items that you used to use MSConfig for in earlier Windows versions.

    • If you are logged in to an Admin user account, Task manager in Windows 10 always challenges for Admin permission when it starts.
    • If you are logged in to a Standard user account, Task manager in Windows 10 will open without any Admin challenge.

    • If you are logged in to an Admin user account, Task manager in Windows 10 will allow you to alter entries in the Start-up tab such as disabling an item.
    • If you are logged in to a Standard user account, Task manager in Windows 10 will only allow you to alter entries in the Start-up tab that affect that user account only. If you try to alter an item that affects other users, the disable command is greyed
      out.

How to add Task Manager to Start-up items

Thanks. I removed the malware and the system is clean.

How can I start the Task Manger in the windows 10 start up. The TM icon/shortcut don't startup. All other programs start up, when windows boot.

To add a program to the Start-up items, you may do the following steps:

    • Search for Task Manager using Cortana.
    • Once the results show Task Manager, right-click on it and select
      Pin to Start.
    • The Task Manager is now added to your Start-up applications.

Let us know how it goes.
