Windows 10: Surface Book 2 15 blue screen crash and subsequent boot loop

Hi community,

Yesterday, my surface suddenly showed blue screen and ever since trying to boot but never was successful. I have tried everything a person with decent knowledge of tinkering with windows since 2004 can do. Not bragging but hating myself for coming back to Windows. Anyway, this is a Surface Book 2 15 inch with i7-8650u, dGPU, 16GB RAM and 1 TB SSD and Windows 10 Pro. It has all the latest updates installed.

1 I tried to install a fresh Windows and it can neither access the drive to install nor can it format the drives.

2 “Start-up Repair couldn’t repair your PC”

3 “We ran into a problem and won’t be able to uninstall the latest quality update of Windows” Same fail message for feature update.

4 Sytem restore does not find anything and want it tobe restarted and voila boot loop.
5 Don’t have any system image backup.
6 Don’t see any “Startup Setting” option


Help please. I’m very depressed and start to believe that installing updates is a very stupid idea. About a month ago this thing happened to one of my family member’s desktop which was bought from Microcenter. That issue is not resolved yet.

Boot Looping at Set Up Screen on Microsoft Surface Book

This is the 2nd Microsoft Surface Book Intel 7 Processor and straight out the box it is boot looping on the Set Up screen. I go through the Blue screen questions and it reboots back to set up questions. HELP!!!!!!

 

Surface Book 2 Blue Screen Crash With Error on ov7251.sys

My surface book 2 is only a few months old but it is now getting a blue screen error every time I open it (whether from standby mode or from being turned off) and restarting. The computer says the error is with ov7251.sys on the blue screen. How do I fix
this?

This doesn't list the "Surface Laptop", but you might give it a try to see.

Otherwise, you should be able to use OPTION ONE below to boot from the USB from advanced startup.
