Windows 10: Suddenly, I can't adjust my screen brightness or use my second monitor after restarting my...

I have already tried restarting again many times, tinkering with display settings, checking that drivers are fully up to date, and reinstalling Windows. What can I do to be able to change my brightness currently stuck at minimum brightness or use my second monitor again currently showing 'no signal'?

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Were you able to see any error message/ error code with this issue?
• Have you tried to install all the pending updates for drivers and Windows Updates on your device?

This issue might have happened due to corrupted/ outdated drivers.

how can we adjust screen brightness?

As we don`t know what you are using.

Is this a laptop screen or a monitor and what is it ( Make / Model / Brand ) ???

• A monitor will have its own function keys to adjust brightness and contrasts.
• A laptop will have Fn Function Keys to do this.

One could also use the Windows 7 inbuilt Color Calibration tool.

• Go to the Start Menu.
• Type in : calibrate display color.
• A drop down menu will appear.
• Select and open calibrate display color.
• Follow the steps it provides.

Graphics Cards can have their own functions for this within their control panel as well.
