Windows 10: Strange behaviour PC

Good morning, since the last update my pc has been behaving strangely: it has slowed down when switching between applications and some tools no longer work e.g. the screen capture tool or the windows+P shortcut for multi-screen.In addition, I have noticed that every 20 seconds or so the processing wheel appears next to the mouse arrow. What could it be? Is there any test I can do to understand the nature of the problem?Thanks

Thank you for using Windows 10.

I would suggest you to follow the steps:

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
• Click File > Run New Task
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type CMD
• Type the following 4 commands at the CMD prompt:
  
  dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
  
  sfc /scannow
  
  powershell
  
  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
  
• Close the CMD window

Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.

Cortana's Strange Behaviour After Creator's Edition Update

Interestingly, my Cortana also presents such a list, no numbers.

Try 'The first' 'The second' etc.

...which works well, until.... the list of available options extends beyond the box as here:




So this British English-sounding voice starts reading them 'Which Minitool do you wanna open...'

And reads the list...after which I see




Oh, come on Microsoft, this is as pathetic as your start menu, where I see



- these shortcuts, each for a different program, being taken from the folders of 2,3,or 4 per program in my nested start menu.

Which is one of a number of reasons I choose to use Classic Shell start menu which actually works. Reliably.

 

No internet on bootup - strange new behaviour

Hi. It used to be that, if I had no internet connection on bootup, I could fix it by playing around with Connect/Disconnect (see 'A' in the pic) and/or disabling/enabling the wifi adapter. Now, for some reason, I don't get 'A', I get 'B' which I can do nothing with. Also, disabling/enabling the adapter is not an option. My only fix is to Restart. Can anyone explain this new behaviour and maybe suggest a fix without Restarting? Odd fact: this only happens on the second bootup of the day. My pre-breakfast and evening bootups are fine! Win10 ver21H2
