Windows 10: Storing OneDrive synchronized folders in different places on hard drive.

I'm trying to achieve following scenario but with no luck:1. I have two folders synchronized with OneDrive- folderA- folderB2. By default both of these folders occupy following path on my computer:C:/Users/some_user/OneDrive/So the directory structure looks like this:C:/Users/some_user/OneDrive - folderA - contents of folder A - folderB - contents of folder B3. Now I want to separate folders A and B this is the step I cannot do:C:/Users/some_user - OneDrive - folderA - contents of folder A - Other_OneDrive - folderB - contents of folder BIs it even p

My onedrive folder is synced on my hard drive. I can delete folders & files from the web but the files are neither automatically deleted--synchronized--with my hard drive nor can I manually delete them from the hard drive. What am I
missing?

I am an independent advisor here to help

in answer to your questions. By default when you synchronize OneDrive to your computer the files are not stored on your hard drive although they are accessible from your computer as long as you have an internet connection.

If you want them to be stored on your hard drive you can select the files, right click and choose always keep on this device. That will place a copy on your local hard drive as well as a copy in the OneDrive cloud.

Lastly if you delete files that are synchronized to OneDrive whether you delete them from the website, your computer, or another device that is connected to OneDrive it will synchronize the deletion across all devices and the OneDrive cloud.

If you need to remove files without losing your only copy you would want to store copy in a place that does not synchronize with OneDrive on your computer

 

Different Folder Icon or OneDrive-Folders

Hi, It would help me a lot to have Folders in Onedrive displayed with a different color or icon.

eg : Let's say i've got two folders with the same name (for sync purpose), one folder is in a local Hard drive, and one is in onedrive. Both are in my "quick access" list. As they have the same icon/color no way to know wich is wich, untill i clic on it
and see the adress.

Any trick or advice ?
