  3. Startup Repair says I have the wrong password

You could try the following solution:

Method 1 Assuming you have entered the correct Username and Password

When Windows 10 refuses to accept your password or displays a password-incorrect error, the first thing to do is make sure your keyboard and mouse are working properly. If you're working on a desktop, unplug and reconnect it. If you are still having difficulty logging in to Windows 10, you can use the on-screen keyboard.

Method 2: Reboot the computer several times.

If Windows 10 refuses to let you sign in or displays an error message, "We are unable to access your account," This issue is frequently resolved by signing out and back into your account." Try restarting the computer once or twice to see if you can continue.

Method 3: Ensure that you are connected to the internet.

If you recently changed your Microsoft Account password in a web browser but Windows 10 now refuses to accept it, make sure your computer is connected to the internet. This will allow your PC to register the new password and allow you to log in again.

Method 4: In Safe Mode, resolve "Windows 10 Won't Accept My Password."

If you still can't log in to your computer, restart and boot Windows 10 in Safe Mode, then run the SFC scan. It will assist you in resolving various system-related issues.

Step 1: Reboot your computer while holding down the Shift key. On boot, the Advanced Startup menu will appear. Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings.

    startup options

Step 2. When you get to the Startup Settings screen, press the "5" key. To restart in Safe Mode with Command Prompt, follow these steps.

    Enable the safe mode.

Step 3. In the command prompt window, type the following command and press Enter.

    scannow / sfc

The SFC scan is now underway.

Method 5: Online Reset of Incorrect Microsoft Account Password

If you're logging in with a Microsoft account, you can try changing your password online.

Step 1: Go to the link provided below to begin the password-changing process. To change your password, go here. To reset the Microsoft password, follow the instructions on the screen.

    I forgot my password

Step 2: After changing the password, you must restart your computer. When the operating system has been restarted, try logging into the Microsoft account with the new password you created.

    how to change a password

Find the right key combination on your computer, and your problem should be resolved. If Windows 10 still does not recognize passwords and you are unable to log in, you can use the Reset Windows Password utility to remove your administrator or user password, allowing you to log in without entering a password.

    I hope this helps.

Please let me know if you require any additional assistance.

    Password incorrect for Startup Repair

I got into Startup Repair because my laptop was running into the problem everything I started it. So, first my Account Name was Shown. After selecting it I entered my password which it said was incorrect. So, I changed my password of Microsoft Account and again followed the steps, but it still says that the password is incorrect. I check my Account, it is a Administrator Account. But password is still showing wrong.
