    Starting an app minimized


    How do I start an app minimized? I want my apps to start minimized whenever I start my windows.whether its minimized to the system tray or just the taskbar it does not matter.I tried to use the right-click, options, Run minimized but it does do anything. maximized does not work either. this tool is pretty much useless.I am using windows 11 pro

    How to actually start program minimized in Windows 10?

    Steps i tried to make program (for example: Thunderbird) to load on startup, but minimized:

    1. Placed shortcut under: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
    2. In a shortcut properties i've checked "minimized"

    Rebooted windows, it does start, but MAXIMIZED! Can't make it minimized, just like on MacOS i could set it hidden.

    Task Manager on start-up and minimized to tray

    Confirmed on W10 2004 what you said - Task Manager starts minimized with an icon in the taskbar. If I click on the Task Manager taskbar icon, then minimize the Task Manager window, the taskbar icon goes away and Task Manager remains in the tray.
