Windows 10: Start menu layout

Hello,Each version of Windows lowers the ease of use of the start menu.Features are added, obviously, but there are some bloat added on the other side.I just recently moved on w11 on my office laptop, and I am baffled at the Start/Stop location.I remember the times on w98 to just hit few keystrokes to enter this submenu and shutdown the computer.XP had to make the user move their cursor in the middle of screen.w10 had this weird layout with the bar "opening" when hovering more than one second on it.And now, w11 moved the Start/Stop button on the right on the start menu ...Start menu that has

Thank you for your response.

I suggest you to perform the below steps and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys, select Personalization.
• Select Start and check if the Start menu screen is turned to Full screen mode.
• If the full screen is turned on, Turn off and check if the issue resolves.

How to get back the Win10 1511 start menu layout


I use a 3rd Party Program called Classic Shell.

You can fully customize the Start Menu: change the items listed there, have different buttons there, change the start button icon, etc. There's too much to list.
