  1. SSD failed to boot after hdd wiping

Hello,I recently installed Windows 10 on an ssd. However, my old HDD was in the PC and windows installed system files inside of it, so when I deleted files that was in this HDD using a linux live cd, I was unable to boot. Can someone help me to reinstall this files into my ssd with windows installation drive ? If I cannot, can I move these files from a existing system stored on an other hdd to my ssd ?Thank you in advance, Eric

    :)

Reinstalling Windows 10 on SSD and wiping data on HDD

I recently added an SSD to my PC which already had a 2 TB HDD. Everything works perfectly fine, but I want to install a fresh copy of Windows 10 onto my SSD and use that as my boot drive and wipe all the current data from my HDD. (I don't want to do data
migration.) How would I go about doing this?

  3. Complete SSD and HDD integration

Thank you for the response. I hope you have not understood it wrong, I have an M.2 SSD in my computer and an HDD too in my computer. This means I cannot plug the HDD in my computer while running to prevent damage. But, anyways, I could unplug the HDD and
then reinstall Windows on the SSD. Before I would do that, I would have to do what you mentioned, to wipe the SSD first. Which third-party tool would be best for that, to create a usable partition for Windows to reinstall on? I am very cautious here because
I really don't want to wipe something wrong. As mentioned before, I did "Custom Install" when I installed Windows on the SSD.

Also, what do you mean with "Just don't boot the machine with it plugged in.."?

So, slance310 and Greg Carmack, what are your suggestions on what to do now? Thanks so much!

    HDD to SSD

I don't understand why you changed the boot order in your BIOS.

When you image or clone an HDD, and restore the image or clone to an SSD, you've got an identical copy of your computer on a different hard drive. Nothing has changed, really. So the next step is to remove the HDD from your computer and replace it with the
SSD, then carry on as normal.
