Microsoft Money Sunset no longer produces sound

I've been using Money Sunset for many years without any problems. A couple of weeks ago the usual sounds stopped altogether (eg sound on starting up app and sounds upon various actions). Apart from sound, Money is still working fine. My speaker is working
fine for sounds on all other apps - It's only Money which has gone silent.

How can I get the sounds back onto Money?
