Windows 10: something didn't go as planned. no need to worry-undoing changes. please keep your computer on.

I updated windows 11 to newer version. After the update the pc got stuck on this screen "something didn't go as planned. no need to worry-undoing changes. please keep your computer on.". I waited for 12 hours and nothing changed still stuck. I really need a solution without resetting the windows, because I have some projects on the Desktop I can't lose.Or At least If there's no solution, I need a method to move my project folder to another disk before reinstall windows.

Power plan?

Upon checking, it seems that there's nothing wrong with your system. It is usual that you have to double-click your mouse before your monitor wakes up.

For the meantime, we suggest changing the power plan by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + S.
• Type in Power Settings.
• On the pop-up window, choose Additional power settings.
• Select High performance.

After changing the power plan, we suggest that you monitor the changes made and check if that will work for you.

In order to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, pleas reply with the details requested below:

• Do you receive any error message after Windows update?
  
• May I know after which update do you see this message?
  
• When you say, “this message appear about half and hour" does the computer boot to the desktop?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

If the computer doesn’t boot to the Desktop, I would suggest you to refer the suggestions provided by DaveM121 replied on April 7, 2019 in the thread

'Undoing changes made to your computer' in Windows 10.



If you are able to boot the computer to the Desktop, I would suggest you to run the

Windows Update Troubleshooter and see if that helps.



If the issue persists, I would suggest you to reset Windows Update components. Kindly refer the article by Sumit on

How to:Reset Windows update components in Windows.



You may also want to refer the steps mentioned in the article
Troubleshoot problems updating Windows 10.



Note: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost. Also, the last step in the article
talks about Clean installation, please do not perform a clean installation of Windows.

Notification didn´t appear

Windows 10 has ben released for 1 day and a half,and I didn´t get the notification for installing.I reserved it.Can anyone help me?

PS I am running Windows 7 and it´s up to date.
