  1. Someone successfully signed into my account bypassing 2fa

Someone signed into my microsft.com account this morning from somewhere in France on an iOS device. I immediately signed in about 5 minutes later using my existing password which had not been changed. I was also 2fa challenged to my email with a 6 digit code as expected. So how did someone sign into my account bypassing the same 2fa method. Email was the ONLY 2fa method I had enabled. I've since disabled that and added an authenticator app instead. And no, there's no chance that my email was hacked and that someone got the 2fa code from the login in France and then deleted it without me seeing

    :)

    Authy Alternatives for 2FA?

thanks again for the detailed replies. - - - Updated - - - i'm a bit confused about the bitwarden site, Field Guide to Two-Step Login | Bitwarden Help Center they suggest using Authy themselves, lol, but it seems to suggest the 2FA 6-digit code is only available on their mobile app? or do they mean you just need it on the phone to scan the QR?

Ways to bypass the login theme and signin do not work

Tried setting netplwiz in option 1 step 4 which shows no check in users must enter ..... no bypass of login

Tried step 4 in option 5 below to disable require sign-on on wakeup via policy via registry but still no change on wakeup still getting the screen picture that requires hitting Esc to move to the sign in window which shows a silhouette image, my user name and a sign in button in order to access my desktop screen. Guess I will have to live with the extra steps.

Again thanks for your interest and suggestions.

    My device: Lumia 520. GDR2.
I cannot sign in my Microsoft account on my device. It didnt say any error but Microsoft account is not listed in Email and account list. When I click add button, it will show microsoft account option but after press sign in, it is still not shown in email
and account. Another problem is i cannot delete facebook account. Error code: 0x83cf1202. I have tried as suggested here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2475837/en-us#step0x83cf1202 but as my Microsoft account is not shown, I cannot do step 6.
