Windows 10: Some settings missing from settings app

Hi, a few months ago I noticed that some of my settings were missing. I am not able to change my background and I cannot access display, notification and power settings. I ignored it for a while and hoped they would come back after the next software update but they haven't.I looked here and here for answers, but none of these methods have worked thus far. In this post, doing a complete reset of their computer fixed the user's issue but I'd much rather try every alternative first.If anyone could explain to me what is potentially causing the issue and how I can fix it, that would be greatly appr

Computer Sleep Option Missing in Settings

The Settings Power and Sleep menu in Settings should list Screen and Sleep, where Sleep is used to tell when the PC goes to sleep. Sleep is missing, so my computer never sleeps. Fast startup and Hibernate are not enabled.

I used Tutorial Add or Remove Sleep in Power menu in Windows 10 to change the registry while in administrative mode, but sleep still is not seen.


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FlyoutMenuSettings now lists :1: It was 0 before the change.

I used Option 3 to add sleep using the Group Policy Editor. The steps seemed to work fine, but sleep is still missing.

I’m using a “new” refurbished Dell T3500 workstation with mbr running the current version of win10. I have a number of these computers, and the other all have the normal sleep mode .

Missing settings app

I'm running Windows 8.1 and just tonight I tried to change some settings. I went to the apps list off of my desktop and tried to get it to open. It opened then went immediately minimized itself and trying to get it to get off the menu at the bottom of
the screen works for a second then before it can load, it does it again. Then I went to the control panel and searched for any app or program that changes setting. Almost all of them are missing from the list.... HELP!

 

Sound card amplification settings

Yeah unfortunately ASUS and Realtek are not stepping up and fixing this it seems. Wherever I see such problems mentioned on forums some users are suggesting just uninstalling the Realtek driver and using the Windows audio driver.
