    Some apps won't connect to the internet, Chrome will


    My browser chrome connects to the internet, but none of my other apps do. This includes Steam, Discord, Spotify, and any other app I've tried. The problem started when I bought a new router/modem and installed it. ADDITIONALLY, at the same time, I was forced to upgrade to windows 11. I have since reverted back to Windows 10, but that did not fix the issue. I have no idea if the issue is with my new router/modem or with my operating system.

    Only Chrome can connect to the Internet.

    To resolve the particular error messages that you're having, we suggest you perform the steps below to disable proxy server:

    • Click the Tools button in Internet Explorer, then click Internet Options.
    • Go to the Connections tab, then click LAN settings.
    • Uncheck the box which says Use a Proxy Server for your LAN, then click
      OK.
