Windows 10: [solved] windows 10, update to version 1909 - error 0x8024a21e and 0x80070554

Windows 10 Home automatic update from version 1903 to 1090 failed. I kept getting the message:

"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: 0x8024a21e". I tried several times. Sometimes got a different error code: 0x80070554 .


I have tried all these fixes, and a number of other tips and tricks, but nothing worked.

-Disabled any 3rd party antivirus programs installed on my computer

-Ran the automatic troubleshooter for Windows Update several times

-Ran Fix Windows Update Errors troubleshooter

- cleared softwaredistrubtion cache

- stopped bits, msiserver, wuauserv etc and cleared cache

etc.

Finally, I found a solution that worked for me: I ran the Windows Update Assistant here:

It took a very long time to update, almost 10 hours, but it worked. I thought it had stopped several times when the proceeding % didn´t change for a long while, but by checking the task manager and the network monitor I could see the process was still operating. So I let it be. And finally, after a couple of hours of "preparing and downloading", the installation began. A couple of hours later there was a number of automatic restarts and - voilá - now it is installed and works as a charm.


Thought I´d give somebody else some hope... :-

Windows 10 update cannot run, Error (0x8024a21e)

I need help! I cannot run update on my Windows 10 system. I keep getting the message

"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x8024a21e)"

I have tried out the troubling-shooting steps here -

-Disabled any 3rd party antivirus programs installed on my computer

-Ran the automatic troubleshooter for Windows Update several
times

-Ran Fix Windows Update Errors troubleshooter,
and also tried downloading for my 1803 version from Microsoft Update Catalog

And to no avail.

What else can I do to solve this problem? Please...

 

Windows 10 Version 1909 Update Fails with error 0x8007001F

Dear all,

constantly getting the message that the update to Windows 10, Version 1909 fails. Detailed message:

• Funktionsupdate für Windows 10, Version 1909
• Fehler bei der Installation am ‎11.‎04.‎2020 – 0x8007001f

I couldn't find a solution in the community, yet. Thus I'm asking for support.

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
