Windows 10: Snipping Tool No Options available when Shortcut is used

Hi,When I use the shortcut Wind_Shift_S or the Print Screen Key for the snipping tool in Windows 11 I don't get options/features of saving the image as I do when starting the app and using the app for screen capture.Is there a way to configure the app so that I get the options when I use the shortcuts? For example when I screen grab something, I am not presented with the option of saving the image goes straight to the Photos folder. When I use the app I can choose where to save the image - this is much better because 100% of the times I want those snips to be filed in corresponding folder

1. Is there a way to configure the app so that I get the options when I use the shortcuts? 2. Also, I had no idea that the snipping tool saves automatically to the Photos folder (when using shortcut/Print screen key. I don't like this because then I have to go and clear manually random screen grabs from the folder. Or go to this folder to get the image and put in a folder that had to go on the first place - annoying multi-step process.

Please check your snipping tool setting. You can do this by following the steps below.

1. Press Windows key

2. Search for "Snipping tool" and click it to open

3. Click 3 dots > Settings

4. Turn OFF "Automatic save"

5. Turn ON "Ask to save edited screenshots"

Also, this settings change may help you. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard > Use the Print screen button to open screen snipping.

Please try this:

Step 1:

Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

Click Reset,

Click Repair.

Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

Step 2:

Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

Step 3:

Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

• Windows Push Notifications System Service
  
• Windows Push Notifications User Service
