Windows 10: Snipping Tool Crashes on Launch – Exception Code 0xc000027b

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the Snipping Tool Microsoft.ScreenSketch_11.2501.7.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe on my Windows PC. Ditto. All steps suggested here I've tried. App still crashes.

Snip & Sketch - Crashes on Launch. Only one user, not the other

I've search and I see threads on this issue but no real answer.

Snip & Sketch crashes on launch.

It only happens on one user profile. If I log out and in under another profile same computer Snip and Sketch works.

I've deleted the offending profile and recreated it (same computer) and Snip and Sketch still crashes on launch.

Snipping tool crashing on snip

Similar problem here: I use it a lot and some days it works fine, many times the first snip crashes the application but then it starts working after. After the snip, it shows a small red blinking dot in the taskbar icon. When the dot stops blinking (solid dot) it's good, if i click the app while it's blinking it will crash, but today it crashes always after making the snip (tried 10 snips no joy).

I doubt that it is a missing or corrupt file as it will start working again after some time or reboot.

It did not do this in the early Win11, I have the feeling since 22H2 it is less stable.
