Windows 10: Slow system performance

I've noticed a deterioration in my system's performance recently. It's difficult to explain what makes me think that but 2 things that keep happening: 1 Often when I start a new session of File Explorer and point to system Documents folder, it takes a long time to open. The progress bar creeps forward, taking more than 60 seconds to finally open. 2 Re-positioning open Windows is jerky. By that I mean that as I'm dragging a window across the screen there a momentary, split-second hesitation as the dragging progresses. Is there a way to measure/quantify performance. Maybe a canned Windows pro

• Did you install any third party security application?
• Did you perform any troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue?
