Windows 10: Slow internet via ethernet on Win10/11, no issue with same hardware on different OS

I've been struggling with extremely slow internet on my wired desktop computer. I've isolated the problem to Windows, as I've tested multiple devices on the same cable/router and have been able to achieve the reported speeds by my ISP 500Mbps. I am testing using iperf3 using the server nyc.speedtest.clouvider.net, as well as testmy.net's download test. On most devices, I am able to achieve 500Mbps+ with both iperf3 and testmy.net.If I boot into Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS via USB on my desktop, I am able to achieve 500 Mbps+ with both iperf3 and testmy.net on Mozilla firefox. • Have you installed all pending Windows updates?
• Have you tried connecting to some other Internet connection and check if the same issue occurs?

We suggest you to connect your system to some other network and check if the same slow Internet connection issue persists. If no then there must be issue with your Internet connection.

• What is the make and model of the laptop?
• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What type of internet connection are you using (wired/wireless)?
• Are you facing lag issue with any other device like a smart phone or a different laptop to the same network?
• Do you face the same issue connecting the Laptop to a different network?
• Did you try connecting the laptop using an Ethernet cable?

Ethernet Connection (slow internet after upgrading to win10)

Thanks for the response. The suggestions you provided are also some of the "fixes" I tried before with no luck. But I did try them again and it still did not resolve my issue.

For the troubleshooting, nothing came up because there IS connection. Just extremely slow. There's no errors or any msg that pops up. The problem is that the internet connection is extremely slow at initial start or after the PC comes out from sleep mode.
Once I disable/re-enable the ethernet connection, speed is great.

If you have any other suggestion, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
