Windows 10: Size being drastically bigger that size on disk, is it normal?

Discus and support Size being drastically bigger that size on disk, is it normal? in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I don't know why I was even checking the sizes of my files but I never saw this big of a difference on file sizes.     Size being drastically bigger that size on disk, is it normal?


    I don't know why I was even checking the sizes of my files but I never saw this big of a difference on file sizes. And I don't know if it's normal.

    Hi Tim,

    For us to address you concern, we suggest following these steps on how to increase the text size of toolbars, application labels and folder names:

    • On Cortana search, type display settings.
    • Choose Display settings from the list.
    • Click on Advanced display settings.
    • Under Related settings, select on Advanced sizing of text and other items.
    • Under Change only the text size, change specific items on your preferred text size then click on
      Apply.

    Folder size bigger than its Disk Space

    Hi,

    We are using something called as Filemaker Tool on which we are building our application . And the tool also enables in scheduling the backups. Moreover the backups are not compressed and are placed as normal files only.

    I did not tell it is a VM issue .. The tool is running in a VM. And by the way the disk size being 300 GB but the folder size inside it is showing 405 GB. Amazed to see how the space could get occupied more than a disk size..
