Windows 10: Sign in option loading infinitely

Hello,Several days ago, I opened my Windows 11 laptop and it asked me to change my password. I had that issue several time so I did not mind. But with that my fingerprint was not activated anymore. When I tried to change it back, I went, as usual in Settings > Acount >Sign in option . But this time, the Sign in option is loading but never showing see screenshot.Here are the tried fixes : - Restart pc - executing these commands : Sfc /ScanNow and Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth as proposed in this post : https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-11-sign

Sign-in Options Infinite Load Time

Hi all.

I have been having this problem for a long time now. When I set up a pin for the first time it worked only once. After that, the log in screen reverted to using my Microsoft Account password (which is long and cumbersome) and the sign-in options tab on the
settings has disappeared (infinite load time, the dots wizz by forever).

I have tried many solutions but none worked. Deleting the NGC folder contents, SFC scannow (found nothing wrong), Credential Management startup type set to automatic, setting up a local account and revert back to Microsoft account (which has also disappeared,
infinite load time). I really do not want to reinstall Windows, but if that's the only solution then ok.

Windows 10 Home 64-bit build 10586

the PowerShell step was executed, however the sign-on options page still fails to load. same behavior: ellipse continuously scroll across the top of the page and nothing loads

Thanks for your response.

I was researching on this issue and would suggest you to perform these steps after signing in to the user account using password and then check.

1. Sign-in to your Windows 10 Administrator account using password.
   
2. Now; open your File Explorer and browse to the location:
   C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft
   
3. Right click on the NGC folder and select
   Properties from the context menu.
   
4. Under the "Security" tab, click on "Advanced" option.
   
5. From the following window, next to the Owner section, click on the "change" link.
   
6. Under the Enter the object name to select option, input
   Administrators if you are using administrator account, or the local user name.
   
7. Click on Check Names and then
   OK.
   
8. Once you have followed all these steps, you should be able to enter
   NGC folder. Delete all the files from the folder
   
9. After removing contents of the NGC folder, add a
   PIN/Face/Fingerprint by following the path: Click on Start Menu > Settings app > Account Settings> Sign-in Options> Add a
   PIN/Face/Fingerprint.
