Windows 10: Shimeji no work :

I have been trying to get shimejis on to my desktop for a while now and I cant get it to work. I used the browser extention and it does work but I want them to be on my desktop and not just the browser. When I try to add them to my desktop its gives me this message:

I have the java 32bit installed but it still doesnt work. I even tried taking off the shimeji browser extention but it still doesnt work. some one plz help I just want cute shimejis on my desktop ;^;

Can't Run Shimeji

Hi Jessica,

Did you get an error message when you tried to run Shimeji? If yes, please send us a screenshot of the error message.

For now, try to uninstall/reinstall Shimeji and check if it works.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you get in touch with the software developer for further assistance.

Shimeji, my desktop nightmare

I recently discovered a Shimeji on DeviantArt and it was a shimeji of my favourite childhood TV Character, so I decided to install him. I know how Shimejis work, I had three others on my laptop, but to get to the point, he has been a living nightmare for
me. I have done every step correctly to get a shimeji onto my desktop, but it does not work with this one. These were my steps:

1: Downloaded the Shmeji

2: Let it on to my computer

3: Extracted it with WinRAR

4: I then put it on my desktop

5: I clicked on the Shimeji with the white face on in a screen

Now, that usually means a little friend would appear on my computer screen right? Wrong. A message pops up in Japanese saying I need to download Java, even though I have it already AND it is updated to the most recent version. I've done everything right! Please,
I need help. I've had to wipe my computer clean because this destroyed it. I'd really appreciate the help. I've done every step needed. Also, I am using Windows 10.

 

How can I get my Shimeji to work?

I've just recently updated to Windows 10 from Windows 7 because on W7 the Shimejis didn't work. They still don't work. I've followed every tutorial and as much as I click the little computer with the face in it, the Shimejis wont appear.

I've checked the following:

-The files are extracted

-Java 6, if not the latest Java

-Windows 8? or higher

Somebody else I know updated from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, and their Shimejis work just fine. I even tried taking the folder that they used from a flash drive and putting it on my computer, but it won't do anything.

The little icon in the corner won't pop up either, in case you were wondering.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
