Windows 10: Shift function keys not working properly

So with my keyboard I can use function keys with the Shift key. For example Shift and 2 gives me the @However the function keys suddenly stopped working as of today. It's not my keyboard since I have a spare one and it still happens with the other keyboard.This is impacting my workflow and I can't use question marks or colons. My keyboard is set to English - US and pressing shift and 2 at the same time gives me 2 instead of a @. Need help

Shift keys aren't functioning or working properly

I have been using my laptop for 4 yrs, it didn't have this issue until i boot it up the shift key isn't working or even functioning basic stuff like doing the at symbol isn't working, tried to turn of sticky keys on and off changing the format all things
that suggests but nothing works i tried to check my keyboard ribbons they all are neatly placed none of them are out or anything, my keyboard is Standard Ps/2 Keyboard i'm on windows 7 64bit SP-1 Other Keys function properly but the shift is not, it's really
irritating. Please reply fast or give a non existence solution that can actually works

 

Contol + Shift key combinations functions not working


I have just purchased a new HP Envy Laptop model 15-A E05SA. and have upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1.
However, for some reason the Control + Shift key plus other key combination functions do not seem work.
For example Ctrl+Shift+f9 should remove all hyperlinks from selected document text also Ctrl+Shift+ should magnify page, etc but do not work.
The Ctrl key, Shift key and function keys work normally individually but not in a combination.
I would welcome any guidance.

shift keys not working

I upgraded to windows 10 on my Toshiba laptop and then did the windows update and when I tried to do anything with the shift key neither one works. I read all the suggestions I could find in here and tried most of them with no luck. I ran the hardware
and device troubleshooter, I went to the keyboard on control panel and it says it's working properly. I tried shift/control/alt keys all together. I downloaded and scanned with anti malware and I did the fn and del keys with no results. I would like an easy
fix for this as I believe it is a windows 10 and or update for windows 10 issue. I am not real savvy on the computer so I need step by step instructions, please and thank you.
