Windows 10: "Share" button greyed out in File Explorer

What the title says. On File Explorer, there are all these buttons in the Share tab like "share", "email", and "burn to disc", but they're grayed out. Pressing on them does nothing. I am confused as to why this is the case - I premused the "share" button was for sharing over the network, but how is that different from clicking on the "give access to" option on the right-click menu? And why is email grayed out at all? I have the email app installed and everything...

There are options you can consider to troubleshoot this issue. When the
Print button on the File Explorer window is greyed out, we suggest that you check if the
Print Spooler service is running. To do this, simply follow the steps below:

• On the Cortana search box, type Services and click the
  Services app.
• Scroll down and check if the Print Spooler service is running.
• If not, right-click Print Spooler and click Properties.
• On the Properties window, click Start.

After following the steps, check if the Print button
is already available.

In Explorer in Share tab Print is greyed out for PDF files

In Windows 10 Explorer when I click a PDF file I can see it in a preview pane, but in Share tab the Print button is greyed out. I cannot print it from there. It was a wonderful way to print a lot of documents with one click. I have installed Adobe Acrobat
X (10.1.6). I think that before installing it, the Share/Print option functioned correctly. My default PDF file opener is Edge. I cannot afford uninstalling Acrobat X. When I open a PDF file in Edge or Acrobat X, I can print it without problem.

Any suggestion to fix Share/Print for PDF files in Explorer?

Win 10 File Explorer Share Tab Email Button Doesn't Work

You are absolutely correct. I do have classic explorer and it too has an email button so when I initially didn't see the button that you mentioned I thought that you might have one too. Sorry.

On my Explorer the Email button in the middle of Share and Zip is shaded and greyed out which actually makes it difficult to spot.

I noticed the Share and Zip buttons blink on and off according to which file is selected when stepping through the files so I guess it is picky on which files it will offer to Mail but so far I haven't found one. Pictures, text, folders, nothing will activate
that button.
