Dear Microsoft Support team,I am getting the following error with a specific program installation: Service XXXX failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.I have tried several solutions, but non of them could fix my problem:Editing Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment. and adding the user I am using for this installation admin rights user.Removing antivirus clients and laptop removed from the domain, so there won't be any GPO causing

I have windows 10 professional 64bit system (hp pavilion laptop). I want to install "ABB Automation Builder" Software. but facing error 1920.service CodeMeter Runtime Server (CodeMeter.exe) Failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to
start system services. pls help.

 

Manual update Win 10 KB4023057 failure: Service 'Service Remediation Service' (sedsvc) failed to start. Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services

This is where I have got to after failing to install the update via the usual Windows Update (see this thread for previous history: Redirecting), I have been trying to do a Manual Update using Windows10.0-KB4023057.msi but it fails with the message: "Service 'Service Remediation Service' (sedsvc) failed to start. Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services"

I have checked the User Rights based on Google articles and it shows LOCAL SERVICES and NT SERVICE\ALL SERVICES





The article said that Services.msc should be set to Automatic. When I checked, it was set to Manual with other options greyed out but it showed as running.

Make sure that the Windows Installer service is started and enabled:

• Click on Start and type ‘Services.msc’ and press ENTER.
  
• Right-click the Windows Installer service, and then click Properties.
  
• If the Startup type box is set to Disabled, change it to Automatic.
  
• Click OK to close the Properties window.
  
• Right-click the Windows Installer service, and then click Start.
  
  I can't find sedsvc.exe on this PC. Oddly, my other Win 10 PC doesn't seem to have it but it still updated. Any ideas why it claims I don't have the privileges and how to fix it or how I can update my PC?
  

 

Get this error while installing a program: "Service (MISS) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privilege to start system services." But I already have all the privileges enabled.

This one gonna be difficult, I already contacted the program (Moonlight Gaming Streaming) developers and they also don't know what is causing the issue, heres the question I sent to them:

Hello, I’m not able to stream from my Windows PC (host) to a Ubuntu device (client - running KDE Plasma), also cant connect a android device.

I’ve tried connecting my other windows pc (host) to the same Ubuntu pc (client) and it’s working just fine.

When I try to install the Internet Hosting Tool I get this error: "Service (MISS) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privilege to start system services."

Already did all the steps included in the troubleshooting guide, including:

*Reinstalling geforce with a full DDU uninstall
*Uninstalled Malwarebites
*Disabled Firewall
*not currently using vpn
*netsh winsock reset

My best guess is that theres something wrong with system permissions but I don't know what. Tried editing user rights assignments with no success.
