    I am still getting this error THREE YEARS LATER!!!!!That stupid windows update hide program DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!! In that case, I suggest you hide it from Windows Update so that it doesn't keep causing this error.So it doesn't show up on Windows Update.The following file is available for download from the Website and should work on Windows 11: https://www.tenforums.com/attachments/tutorials...Don't tell me to do this....IT DOES NOT WORKWhy can't Microsoft figure out how to fix this????!??? SOMEONE.....ANYONE.....I AM LOOKING FOR A PERMANENT FIX

    The question is who gave the authority to Microsoft to enforce "general social norms"? Even if some of the listed activities are objectionable to everyone, do you really need a software company policing their end users?

    Companies don't report to authorities without an NSL, that included Microsoft at least until now. Not every company has the same level of service agreement in place, here's a quote from Apple's:
    The chances are that Google have a similar service agreement...

    Step 2: Buy an Apple computer with that extra money.

    Seriously though, I'm not sure what you are asking. If you want to install OSX on a PC, there are plenty of websites to explain that, but most forums won't discuss it due to the legality issues. There are ways to virtualize it, but it isn't legal due to Apple's policies.

    Just when you think MS is getting a little Smarter/Microsoft kills off autorun

    I really don't understand how some are complaining about autorun being disabled. For USB drives, it will pop up a dialog asking you whether you want to view the folder or not. Is that seriously not good enough?

    For CDs however, microsoft stated that they would still allow the autorun function to be listed as an option in the dialog.

    Autorun is a pretty big security risk, and Microsoft is saving a lot of headaches from the IT crowd for this.
