    Seagate (freeagent) external drive not recognized in Win 10


    I have an older (10+ years) Seagate external drive that I gave to my brother some years ago... I load up some movies and shows on it a couple times a year for him. I switched laptops about 7 months ago, The other day I tried connecting it to my newer laptop... But Win 10 is not recognizing it. I have another external drive, and a few usb drives... I have no issues with any of them.

    Is it a driver issue... or is the tech just too old. He said it works on his PC, and he recently switched to Win 11.

    Windows 10 and a Seagate FreeAgent Desktop external harddrive

    I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 10. Now, my Seagate FreeAgent Desktop external hard drive isn't recognized. I did find it and it said there was a driver error. I checked and I have the most current driver available. Any suggestions on how
    to fix this problem so I can use this external hard drive?

    Is widows 10 compatible with seagate freeagent external drives?

    I am not able to access my seagate freeagent external hard drive with windows 10. I installed the Seagate software on my surface pro 3, I can see the Seagate drive in windows explorer. However, when I open the Seagate manager no external drive is shown.
    Is windows 10 compatible with Seagate external drive?

    Windows 10 driver for Segate Freeagent

    As soon as I installed Windows 10, my Seagate FreeAgent external drive was no longer recognized. The Seagate icon in the tray says 'No drive connected', I can access the external drive through 'This PC' but there is no way to perform auto backups. Any
    suggestions?
