Windows 10: SDR YouTube Videos oversaturated with Windows in HDR mode

SDR videos frequently maybe always now, but wasn't always the case a while ago appear wildly oversaturated to the point of being unwatchable in Edge and Chrome when playing in a window on an HDR monitor. HDR videos look fantastic. Problem is limited to SDR videos.Non video content on the same page is fine. It's only the videos that are affected:While you won't be able to see the HDR extreme brightness it's lost by the copying and pasting and you need an HDR display to achieve those high brightness levels, you can see how the colors are distorted and washed out. Windows 10 HDR & SDR

Hi i would like to know is it possible in windows 10 to watch a HDR content on a SDR monitor so it looks like a proper SDR content.

Because more and more movies is HDR and on my HDR tv it is all great even in windows playing HDR content AND SDR content on HDR screen works properly. Problem is when playing HDR content on normal pc monitor picture is way to dark contrast is all wrong.
Yea i can fix it in some way in the players with the brightness and gamma sliders but it still doesnt look like the original sdr content.

I would like to fix this issue because soon al my video content will be in HDR but i am not always vieving this on HDR screen. Sometimes i would like to watch it on my phone or my pc or my friends house and in all those places with SDR screens looks way
worse than a normal SDR content.

This is probably a misunedrstanding i want the HDR video content to bi shown corectly on the SDR screen.

So it needs to be detected and somehow converted from BT.2020 to sRGB/BT.709
can this be a windows 10 fix or is more a problem for the video player developers?

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the make and model of the PC?
  
• How are you projecting the displays in the PC? (Extended/Duplicate)

When you first connect an external display to a laptop, Windows will duplicate your desktop on both displays by default. However, HDR isn’t supported in this configuration. To view HDR content on the external HDR monitor or TV,
extend your desktop across both displays:
